BALIK BEER Duo
Pack
Take your time for an exclusive expedition to the BALIK world
of delights.
Just as BALIK, our "classic", this special beer has
been brewed according to an old Russian porter recipe with brown
malt, Russian kwas, hops and water from BALIK's own source at
Ebersol.
It then matured during one year in old oak butts and received
individual care up to its maturity. Its has been brewed and
bottled in limited quantities at the brewery Locher at Appenzell.
This brewery with 125 years of experience and family tradition
stands for first class quality and natural taste. This very
demanding procedure gives the BALIK BEER its noble and characteristic
sherry taste and its amber colouring. But this sparkling BALIK
BEER may reserve you some surprise. With 11 %vol. of alcohol,
it compares much more with a wine than with traditional beer.
It as been created not simply as a common beverage, but to accompany
harmoniously our BALIK salmon. We recommend to drink BALIK BEER
cool, at a temperature of 12° C. BALIK BEER should be stored
in a dark place. When stored, the quality of the beer will improve
yearly and its taste will become more and more harmonious. |

Champagne
Until medieval times, it was the monks who tended to the vineyards
and wine was blessed and drunk during mass. The first King of France
was presented with wine from the Champagne region one Christmas evening
in 496. It was Dom Pérignon, procureur of the Benedictine Abbey
of Hautvillers from 1668 to 1715 who perfected the champagne recipe
of this époque. There are several steps to the winemaking process
known today as "méthode champenoise." The delicate
process of blending or assemblage is perhaps the most important part
of creating superior champagne. It is at this point where producers
select different vintages and grape varieties to create a blend, or
cuvée. |

Heidsieck &
Co Monopole
Goût Américan, Vintage 1907
A precious collector's item:
HEIDSIEK & CO MONOPOLE, Goût Américain, Vintage
1907, found at the bottom of the Baltic sea.
It sounds like a fairy tale - however, it is a true story. On
November 3, 1916, at 5.30 in the morning, a Swedish transporter
was sent to the bottom by a German submarine (U22) when trying
to cross a Finnish blockade. However, the 60 tons-freight, consisting
of wine, champagne and spirits, meant for Tsar Nikolaj II, never
reached its destination. For 82 years, the exquisite goods lay
64 meters deep in the Baltic sea. To the great surprise of the
connoisseurs, the quality of the champagne is still impeccable.
According to experts, balance of taste and perlage are optimal.
Caviar House offers this unique rarity as an exclusiveness,
in its shops around the world.
Each bottle is numbered an can, according to experts, be kept
for several more years if correctly stored
(in the dark at +3 - +6° C).
What a mystery !! |

Wine
From ancient civilizations to modern times, wine has been produced
and enjoyed by many. Evidence of wine production dates as far back
as 6000 B.C. , to early Mesopotamian culture. The Mesopotamians were
the first known people to cultivate grapes. The ancient Egyptians
recorded the harvest of grapes on stone tablets on the walls of their
tombs.
The Caviar House wine selection is finalized each year after rigorous
wine tastings, in order to offer the finest of vintages from specially
selected regions. |

Russian Vodka
Millenium
40% Vol. / 50cl
Vodka is not only a typical drink, it is also a typical Russian
word and means "little water".
The genuine Russian vidka became famous due to its purity, its
lightness and its mild taste. There are three reasons for these
characteristics, highly appreciated worldwide by vodka connoisseurs,
namly :
1. The genuine Russian vodka is distilled mainly from wheat
grains and not from corn or other cereals.
2. Only soft, cristal clear water from Russian lakes and rivers
is used.
3. It is distilled according to a process, developed in Russia
and improved ever since for over a thousand years.
This vodka is distilled exclusively for Caviar House in Siberia
from 100% summerwheat, according to our quality requirements.
It comes, pure like cristal, from zhe distillery who uses traditional
methods developed to highest technical perfection. With its
subtle taste, this vodka goes ideally with our caviar and makes
it an incomparable treat.
This small production unit, however, produces not more than
2000 numbered bottles of this spirit. |
